Nuclear Medicine Scanning, is a non-invasive procedure that we offer here at Medical Diagnostic Scans. Our staff is equipped to educate you on the test we will administer, in order for you to be more comfortable with what is about to take place. The nuclear scanning will begin internally, either intravenously or orally. From there, external cameras will capture and create images from the radiation emitted by the radio pharmaceuticals. During this process, a radioactive tracer substance will be injected into the body, which will go to a certain organ. Through the tracers, we will be able to establish any normal or abnormal activity in the organs. Please give us a call today and our staff will supply you with more detailed information regarding your procedure.
Here at Medical Diagnostic Scans, we offer minimally invasive procedures that are performed by Dr. N. Henry Pevsner, and his board certified staff. Our tests are relatively painless, with the exception of being injected by a minor needle in your vein. Our staff is courteous and prepared to answer any questions you may have regarding your tests, in order to make you comfortable. We will work directly with your physician to distribute your results, and provide any needed clarity from them. Our Nuclear Medicine Scanning is one of our most highly requested tests, as it provides you with further insight into what measure you need to take in order to prevent a possibly major medical emergency. We are available to assist you today.
